I'm LOVING this world in my game! I was wandering if since installing pets, will this world become populated with stray animals? If not, is there a way to add "pet spawners" or something with CAW tool? Because I'd love to have some animals in it. (I haven't installed pets yet because of the borked cc, so I don't know how pets works with custom worlds.)

I'm glad you like it, angelcake!

From what I've read, wild animals should spawn in all custom worlds without you adding anything, as long as it's not a city world. Since Shearwater is flagged as a suburb, you should be able to install pets and see wild animals there just fine. smile

Thank you sooo much!! (Although I still haven't installed pets cuz of all the stupid bugs :P) Maybe I use grant's tool to fix my cc because I can't wait to have animals! Thanks again for the awesome world! It's the only one I play in the game ^_^

this world looks amazing

I haven't been brave enough to actually install any CC yet - only just got the game and I'm still reading everything I can get my hands on!! But I'll try it soon, it looks too delicious to have to wait much longer  laugh

In the meantime alot of modders have updated their work for patch 1.26. So look out if the cc you're using is updated. Sites like simply styling, Mod the sims, mangosims, exotic elements, einfach simlish, have updated their stuff.
Also, clothes, make-up, hair, patterns and such just work with pets, even if they are created before Pets.  It's more the items that cause trouble, like deco stuff, tubs, beds, outside items and the like. Stuff that you could move. And heavy scipted mods too, like mastercontroller. But Twallan has already updated all of his mods so that it works with pets. Awesomemod also works with Pets. Same goes for the slider hacks of Delphy and Jonha.

Looks good. Only a bit too little clubs, but that can be fixed. Need to bulldoze a bit then or just build extra.
Do you have used different size of lots or is everything one size? And which size is the most common?
In the standard ones you see alot 30x20 and 40x040.

Thank you all for your nice comments! smile My daughter is pleased that people are enjoying her world.

candesco, in a small world it is difficult to fit in all of the club types (there are nine types altogether). This world has two club lots, so my suggestion is that you rezone them occasionally for your sims who are learning mixology. Shearwater was built with all EA lots because my daughter wanted to rebuild it, anyway- so the idea is that you demolish the lots and replace them. The EA lots are only there so that she could play whilst she built; I would take more care in lot design if I were building all of the lots!

The lots vary in sizes- they are mostly standard sizes of course, as they are to fit the EA lots. The smallest lot is 15X15 (three empty lots on a beach to build beach shacks on) and the largest are 60X60. There are a range of lot sizes in between, my suggestion is that you download the CAW files and place the lot sizes you want, if you don't like the sizes I have used.

I will use some custom made ones which use small tiles instead of 50 or larger, like the standard EA ones use. And probably make something of my own. In that way you won't have problems with the space.
It is also the plan to demolish some buildings. When i said about that bulldozing i meant that for myself. I need to bulldoze myself or plant extra. I don't ask you to do that. No, the world as it is now is just good. Let me do the changing. As for those sizes: no, just wanted the information which sizes you have used. Now that you provided that i now know what to expect and can bear that in mind when i wanted to replace something.
Thanks for the information.

Hehe, I wasn't offering to do it for you, what I meant was that I built this world to my daughter's specifications, and for that reason I added the CAW files to the first post so that people could change the world to their requirements. So if you download those you can edit it more accurately than you can in-game.

Ah, ok. Well, i don't know about the CAW files. I'm afraid to break something, like routing lines or something like that. I assume you use those with the create a world tool.

It's not as complicated as it sounds; CAW will rebuild the routing for you if you click a button. smile

But if you don't use CAW then I'm afraid you're stuck with the in-game world editor, which is not very good at adding lots. Sad

In that case i could give it a try. If i can fiddle a bit with enchanted editor, then this one would be a walk in the park as it seems.
The in-game editor is pretty limited yes. Those lots are all prefab things and you can't build extra roads. However, if you only replace a house with an other, then it's not a big problem and it's more bulldoze  and place.

Would this work with the Sims 3 Pets Expansion?
