Due to the amount of anti-comment centered rage that's been circling around certain simming communities lately, and which has been pointed against me and other Cave updaters, I realized it was high time to post something to soothe the malevolent spirits of SimSecret anons. This one goes out to you, dear Secret poster; I honestly hope you will find a good use for the technique described in the following lines.
A PRACTICAL GUIDE ON HOW TO BROWSE THE SIMS CAVE UPDATES FORUM
What you can see above is a screenshot of your average Sims Cave updates thread. It usually features an image of the new content and a link that leads directly to the download.
BUT, what is this?? The boring updater added a comment on the content displayed! I want downloads, but I don't want to read comments. What now?
Don't panic! There is an easy way to overcome this issue.
As mentioned earlier, every post has a
link that leads to the particular piece of cc that's featured on the image.
In order to overcome the problem with unwanted comments,
you just have to click the link without reading the text that follows it. Yes, it is that easy!
Links are distinct for their blue color and therefore easy to spot. Also, updaters tend to emphasize them even further by either bolding them or increasing their font size.
Now that we know the theory, let's try and put it to practical use: Emilia from MYB Sims (<----click it!) posted a great hair retexture of Newsea's Cain blah blah blah yadda yadda yadda I know you're not reading this yadda yadda yadda blah blah
...see? It wasn't all that hard. Now STFU and enjoy your stay at SC!
Happy browsing!
