You knew her as Candace, the creator, artist, and webmistress of the megasite, Candace's Sim Bazaar. We knew her as a friend. Her prolific work reflected her personality: sometimes whimsical, sometimes irreverant, always a lot of fun.

With a heavy heart, we have to announce that Candy passed away at midnight today, April 21, 2005, after a lengthy illness.

We had the honor of working with Candy on Sims things since the beginning of Moon Sims in 2002, when she was a member of the web team for one of the largest sites we hosted back then as well as webmistress of Candace's Sim Bazaar. Her work grew, and her popularity grew with it. By the time we got SimsHost going, her site was being driven off line, a victim of its own popularity. We have had the privilege of hosting her work ever since.

Over the years Candy shared our many triumphs and tribulations, all the while creating a fantastic variety of Sims things for you to enjoy. She was always there for us, eager to lend a hand where needed while inventing new themes for fans of The Sims and playing host to the many subsites that make up the Sim Bazaar. Thousands of Sims fans also enjoyed the adventure she created for them in the Amazing SimsHost Mall Maze in 2004.

Candace's Sim Bazaar will continue as it has for the past several months under the capable hand of Candy's partner, Simsational Sandy and her wonderful creations for The Sims 2. And Candy lives on, in our games and in our hearts.
