Back to the Gipsy Theme. This is for vmaria and all who like this specific theme.
Why "guy next door"... Well because at least in France today we can't always guess or know already who comes from the Gipsy community, either in big towns
or on the country-side. Assimilation has played its full part (for many centuries), for most Sinti, Manouche, South France Gipsies, in spite of prejudiced people and what medias tell us.
So José could very well be that Gipsy (Manouche here for me) getting on well with others, Gadje (non-Gipsies), be living among others in a small village, have his own
small business as plumber, joiner or mechanic. And "Are you Gipsy" would even not be the first question coming to neighbours', customers' mind. Maybe he would also play
the guitar inside his community for festivities but Gadje wouldn't even know at all about it. And maybe José might also be member of a Gipsy Evangelical Church, which is more
than common in France.
There are many Gipsies like José here, they don't make themselves noticeable in any manner. You would just think "There are still such good and very interesting people in this world".
Enough said...
Here is also an overview of the CC used
Additionally, thanks to Vera Marina for her guy Mikael which I used as basis and who is no longer at MTS.
