The SimsCave

This is a first for me in a way as it was a privately made request made by Lipiman (http://simscave.mustbedestroyed.org/index.php?action=profile;u=112993), for a conversion of 3 pose player boxes from TS3 found Here (http://nene.sexysims2.com/member.php?u=39789) on SexySims (Login Required). I agreed to look into it for them and decided that it would be a challenge but a doable one. I have to thank Lipiman for being so patient and understanding as this has not been as smooth a box to make as some of the others but the end result isn't too bad.

This box has been developed so that the couples poses are interchangeable so you can use them for Male/Female, Male/Male & Female/Female. You may find that some poses will require the use of OMSP, this is purely down to Milkshape's limitation on root_rot and root_trans.

There are two versions of this box, please read the technical specs to make sure you get the correct version!!

*chuckles* we should change simscave name into pervert-cave. (or like I once wrote "smcave"  :rolleyes:) Also linked these to friend who almost went crazy trying to decide between "try out now" or "go sleep 'cause dead tired" XD She ended up going to sleep but said that trying this box out will be the first thing she'll do in the morning then. :3

I enjoy making poseboxes both requests and also spur of the moment idea ones as well. I tend to make a lot of the smutty ones because it seems its an area that creators seem to stay away from in many ways. I like making BL/same sex ones as again its an area that I don't see many creators tapping into very much and with there being a great deal of interest in Yaoi and other BL's it makes sense to make a variety of them... honest... that's my excuse... I can not confirm or deny any other comments that may be posted on the cave that could suggest otherwise... oh look is that the time...

Thanks for this great posebox. Awesome work!! I hope you can also convert the rest poses from TS3 to TS2.

If you can get me a link to them Lamy I'll have a look. All the poses featured on the sexy sims link are in this box. Some how when I doing the photos the 11th pose got missed out. I'll be in the game fixing a pose in my BDSM box, so I will retake pose 11 while I am in that lot and add it to the contact sheet I made for the pose box.

I don't know if I should say this or not, but I think I'll say it anyway. You know I love every one of your poseboxes, but there is one thing that is bugging me. The pose duration is too low for me, and I always have to extend the time to 30 seconds in SimPE because 9 is not much. Is that possible if you could make your boxes with extended pose durations? Or just make them like the ones with start/stop options?

Ladyare and anyone else who'll read this you have absolutely nothing to worry about; believe it or not you are probably one of a few that have been thinking similar but didn't know like you whether or not to say anything. I honestly thought that 9 second game time would be okay because like you but the other way around I always found that poses were to quick, 3 - 5 seconds and bam! they are done, and to be honest freezer clock only goes so far as does the pause.

I am just away to test the change I made to the BDSM box, sadly it will only be 9 seconds as the box is complete, however I have at least two maybe three boxes to come after the BDSM one so I shall adjust the time on them, I'm going to leave it open for now as to how long but the minimum time would be 9 seconds and the maximum I think for the sake of game time would be as high as 20 / 25 seconds.

However if yourself and the other users feel that might be to much time then I am open to suggestions, I am happy to discuss the good and the bad points of my boxes as its the only way to gauge how bad / good they are and then incorporate these suggestions into the way I make future boxes. 

As for me, the duration of poses is important because I don't like to take screenshots with the pause on - somehow in live mode without pausing my game graphic looks a bit better than on pause/other modes. But if others prefer shorter pose time, you don't have to change anything.

I can understand that, which is why I am more than happy to change the timing, I just need a bench mark to work from and knowing sims its always best to err on the side of caution. If I don't hear anything back then I will set the pose for around the 20 second mark.

I love your poses boxes but sometimes I need to use "http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=268960" mod for my pictures, but it does not work like my other boxes poses. The box does not allow "overlay" , I don't know if I'm clear with my bad english.  :blush: But I know it is not useful for everyone so I understand that you can not do it just for me.

I am due to be making a couple of request boxes one from here and one from my own site, when I am at the stage of putting it together I will have a look and see if there is away to make sure that I can allow for face overlay, what I am reasonably sure of where my current boxes are concerned is that some of the ingame animations seem to override poses, its like the body doesn't move but the head does.

As yet I haven't found a way to prevent this other than pausing or using the freezer clock as soon as the sim is in the pose. There are a few boxes specifically for the finer movements, poser box being one of them and the custom model poses being the other. However I will take a look at some of the boxes which are already out there to see what (if anything) I can do.
